This child could be anyone. And could be taking a nap just about anywhere. In Bronx, or Manhattan in New York. In Johannesburg or Cape Town in South Africa. In Assam or New Delhi in India. In a village, city, street with no name, country under siege, or under the wheels of the royal thrones and democrat vehicles alike.
What is important to know is that this is a recent photograph of our times. And what is also important to know is that homelessness and poverty for this child is not some “god”-given curse.
