It was not all fun n frolic. It was bitter n sweat. Our these songs!

Songwriters, singers, barring colors and nationalities, have not only been singing praises for the almighty and expressing fear of the supernatural. They have not only been singing self-centered love duets or the sermons for the jilted lovers. They have also not only been composing war march tunes or words for victory anthems. They have not just been writing about personal fantasies or prescribing music to induce sensuousness.

There have also been songs, written because they are necessary. Songs which do not need to be accompanied by the expert musician or modified by words to soothe the literary critic. Politics is all about you and me and us working folks. How could these songs differ? Yes these are political. These are for real. Working class sentiments, a nauseating despair, a cry for freedom.
